Based on the preview I saw for XY&Z 38, I don't know wether the so called "confirmed rumor" of him winning the Kalos League is actually true (I hope it is), but I do think I have figured a few things out:
I know that Ash has Pikachu (who has taken a fair amount of damage by now), Goodra, and of course, Greninja, left. Alain has Bisharp and of course, Charizard left. Also, if you look carefully, in the preview, both when Bisharp is seen attacking Goodra, and when Charizard (scene before it's Mega Evolution), it appears to be raining on the battlefield. This leads me to throw out the following:
A) Goodra (probably) is able to defeat Bisharp because of a move-ability combo: Rain Dance, which activiates Hydration. Hydration will prevent Goodra from becoming paralyzed.
B) In addition, it is almost near impossible that the writers are actually going to have Goodra beat Charizard, who based on both images and the preview itself, will become Mega Charizard X in order to battle Ash-Greninja. However, Charizard is scene flying through the rain which could provide Goodra with a chance to weaken Charizard for Greninja's turn. In addition, should Charizard Mega Evolve before battling Greninja, any of Goodra's Dragon-Type moves will be super-effective.
OF COURSE... This is all just in theory... Anything can happen (though again, I very much doubt that Goodra will beat Charizard

Haha pretty good theory and deduction skill. I am not too concerned with trying to figure out who wins, i am just hyped. I KNOW Ash is gonna win because i have faith haha. Ofcourse it's all predetermined but i still believe he has more reason to win than Alan. Alan needs to learn the power of friendship before he can win.
